Heartbeat , premiered in August 2005 at The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts, is the most lavish and spectacular percussion dance Action-Musical ever produced. Featuring an impressive cast of over 60 dancers, martial artists, and musicians, the show takes the audience through the history of drums and drum dances through two millennia of Chinese history. Supported by over five hundred incredible hand made period costumes and a multitude of fantastic sets depicting the glorious dynasties of China, the show again promises to be a real feast for both eyes and ears.

Like our two preceding Action-Musicals, Heartbeat’s simple story and message allow the show to entertain you through visually exciting action and dance forms without the need for much language-specific dialogue. Heartbeat’s extensive utilization of Chinese percussion music as the underlying music for a visually stunning dance drama is absolutely unique and unprecedented. It promises to raise the notion of Action-Musicals to new heights.

Heartbeat is going to celebrate its 100th show at the Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre in Denver this March! 94 shows have been performed across North America since the show's debut in August 2005.
